Veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane has been named captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for IPL 2025, succeeding Shreyas Iyer, who has moved to lead the Punjab Kings. Rahane, renowned for leading India to a memorable test series victory in Australia in 2020-21, will have seam-bowling all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer as his deputy.
